As the summer season enters its final month, the second half of the Lithuanian Rally Championship also begins. This is usually marks the longest and most enduring event of the championship, with special stages stretching across the Rokiškis district. This rally is not only the biggest in terms of kilometres – the participants of the Lithuanian Rally Sprint and Lithuanian Extreme Rally Championship will also compete here, which will affect the road conditions on the second day of the rally. 6 N5 participants will face almost 150 kilometres divided into fifteen special stages, while one crew will complete only half, as it is a LARSC participant.

Deividas Gezevičius and Evaldas Kvederis will start in a very good fourth place among 104 participants. The fastest N5 crew this season was slightly slowed down at the home rally in Ukmergė, where they had to stop on the second day of the rally due to a technical failure. Until then, Deividas and Evaldas were in an impressive third place and battling against the crews with FIA cars. The unfinished rally cost the Ford Fiesta N5 crew the loss of first place in the LARČ1 standings, which was taken by Eugenijus Sladkevičius and Marius Kairys, who will start from tenth position. The pair finished all three LARČ events in their Škoda Fabia N5+ and have a lead of nine points. Both crews driving in the LARČ1 class had interesting activities before Rokiškis – Deividas Gezevičius took part in the Racefit Challenge Visaginas sports competition, and Eugenijus Sladkevičius’ co-driver Marius Kairys made his debut as a driver in the Šilalė Rally with a BMW rally car.

Starting number 8 was allocated to the leaders of the LARČ5 – Paulius Beniušis and Kristupas Adinavičius. Their duo with the Citroen C3 N5 has not yet been overtaken by any of their LARČ5 colleagues, and at the same time the crew is having fun fighting for high positions in the overall standings. This is best reflected in the overall LARČ 4WD standings, where the crew from Kaunas is in fourth place, just two points behind 2024 champion Vladas Jurkevičius and seven points ahead of Deividas Gezevičius. Aurimas Eidžiūnas is in second place in the LARČ5 class, but unfortunately, we won’t see his debut with the new Ford Puma N5 in Rokiškis yet, so we’ll have to wait for the Elektrėnai Rally. So Justinas Brokorius and Ramūnas Paškevičius, who are driving their Ford Fiesta N5 faster and faster, could take second place from him. However, the search for speed in Ukmergė ended in contact with a tree. The crew of Audronis Gulbinas and Vytis Paliukonis with their VW Polo N5 with start number 34 could also make it into the LARČ5 top three. In Rokiškis, the Hyundai i20 N5, driven by Rokas Markovičius and Tomas Grigonis, could also return to the LARČ. The crew with the starting number 49 also visited Šilalė, where they finished third in the guest class.

The Rokiškis Rally will also feature Julius Masonas, for whom Aras Kalėda will again read the pacenotes, as usual co-driver Markas Buteikis will be behind the wheel in Rokiškis. The Renault Clio N5 will have to cover half of the rally distance, as Julius Masonas is involved in the fight for third place in the Lithuanian Rally Sprint Championship.
