Of the three planned cars, two N5 arrived in Kėdainiai. Paulius Beniušis continued to successfully cover kilometers, and Mikolaj Kempa trained before the start in Lazdijai. The competition itself took place on a beautiful Saturday, and only in the evening did it rain lightly in some places, but this did not cause any problems for the participants. The N5 crews, who started as guests, immediately took first places in the overall standings. This time, Paulius Beniušis, who had put Justas Vaitiekūnas in the co-driver’s seat, was involved in a very entertaining battle for victory with Ramūnas Čapkauskas, who also used to drive an N5 car. The battle took place during all eight special stages and in the end, in the duel between Kaunas-resident drivers, the Citroen C3 N5 crew won the guest classification by a few seconds and was the fastest in the overall standings. So, congratulations to Paulius and Justas. Meanwhile, the guests from Poland, Mikolaj Kempa and Sebastian Wach, also fought with another crew. After 32 kilometers of racing, the Polish Ford Fiesta N5 crew secured third place in the guest classification and in the overall standings. The first Lithuanian automobile rally championship round awaits us this weekend in Lazdijai. See you there 🙂
